Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Airport facilities at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport on passenger satisfaction in Palembang. The Airport LRT, as an innovative mass transportation mode, plays a vital role in supporting passenger mobility and comfort in accessing the airport. The research employs a quantitative approach with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 LRT Airport users from August to September 2024.
The validity and reliability of the instrument were tested using Pearson product-moment correlation and Cronbach’s alpha, which indicated valid and reliable results. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression and other statistical tests to test the hypothesis on the effect of LRT facilities on passenger satisfaction. Findings reveal that LRT facilities, including condition, completeness, as well as interior and exterior design, significantly affect passenger satisfaction, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 95.4%. Additionally, the majority of respondents were under 30 years old with a higher proportion of women, indicating a very good satisfaction level.
The study concludes that improving the quality of LRT Airport facilities directly enhances user satisfaction with air transportation services in Palembang. These findings provide strategic recommendations for management to improve LRT infrastructure for optimal service delivery
