Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Green Airport concept on passenger perceptions through passenger satisfaction as an intervening variable at General Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang. The background of this study is based on the importance of implementing an environmentally friendly concept at airports, which focuses not only on operational aspects but also on passenger satisfaction and perceptions as service users. The research method used was a quantitative approach with path analysis techniques. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to passengers, with Green Airport as the independent variable, satisfaction as the intervening variable, and passenger perception as the dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that the Green Airport concept influences passenger satisfaction and perception, and passenger satisfaction also influences passenger perception. However, passenger satisfaction is not able to mediate the effect of Green Airport on passenger perception. Thus, the implementation of the Green Airport concept directly influences passenger satisfaction and perception, but not through the satisfaction variable as a mediator. This study is expected to provide evaluation material for airport managers in improving the quality of environmentally-based services and contribute to the development of science in the field of air transportation management.
